About me

Joseph Brannan; Insulation Supervisor & Q/C Inspector Insulation & PFP Fireproofing Inspector; Institute of Corrosion Level 2 I am highly experienced within the insulation industry on large scope oil, gas, LNG, petro-chem, marine, fabrication yard and power projects; I have held various managerial, supervisory and inspection positions on major projects throughout the UK, mainland Europe and Worldwide for some of the leading and well-known EPC contractors. I have considerable knowledge and experience of working with all types of thermal, acoustic, marine and cryogenic insulation materials and specifications; including full working knowledge of construction activities in relation to all aspects of protective coatings of surfaces for paint and passive fire protection systems. I have particular experience and expertise with cryogenic insulation materials, specifications and applications for LNG systems, I also have experience of OJT for trainee applicators in the use and methods of materials, tools, fabrication of profile applications on cryogenic systems. I have the ability to read/understand specifications, technical drawings and P &ID's, coordinate inspection activities and the ability to identify key issues and problems, also with the capability to solve them in-situ. I am also fully conversant with C.I.N.I requirements. I am able to collate and present information on quality issues and prepare weekly & monthly QC reports, review and verify testing of applications for compliance to specification, ability to identify concerns and submit NCR's if required; also follow up any repair and/or remedial works to client satisfaction. With the ability to preparing inspection reports and reviews of ITP's for conformity prior to implementation and acceptance.
