The system (CTMS) lead by me is used for capturing trades for bullions (precious metals) and futures. Mediacorp Project (Jan 2006 – Mar 2008) The project is primed by Accenture, with the bulk of the work to be delivered by Avanade. The Integrated Broadcasting System(IBS) encompasses the following functional areas in Mediacorp - Programme Sourcing, Contract & Rights Management, Programme & Promo Library, Asset Management, Programme Scheduling. The project was based on an offshore model, utilizing Manila Delivery Centre for the Build, but was later decided that the build to be done in Singapore, and Manila as the delivery for SQL reporting module. The Solution is a custom build solution using C# .NET. Where possible, we will leverage on Avanade’s ACA.NET assets. The project is expected to span across 24 months. This project involves 3 vendors and the internal IT department. I am one of the lead for module which deliver 60% of the function in the entire system. China Minsheng Bank Project, China – Beijing (Aug 2005 to Dec 2005) This is project managed by Accenture to replace their legacy core banking system by the SAP core banking product. Alnova .NET is being implemented as the teller front-end of the solution, covering the teller portion of the core banking functionality. Accenture was asked to design and build the solution, as well as help the client to roll out the so-called "configured system" to 3 regional branches in China. The project spans 3 releases from July 2005 to December 2006. An initial Specification ("PDP") phase of 12 weeks starting in July 2005 will define the scope and blueprint of the solution to be implemented. The primary scope of the program encompasses the design and implementation for next generation’s tax system. It cuts across 3 releases with a wide scope of business capabilities that will be implemented in a Microsoft .NET environment. Each release provides full end-to-end functionality, which includes the delivery of the capabilities such as eServices (eSV), Taxpayer Relationship Management (TRM), Compliance Management &Taxpayer Analytics (CMTA), Core Processing (CP), Data Warehouse & Enterprise Reporting (DWER), Enterprise Workflow (WF), Enterprise Knowledge Portal (EKP) and External Value Network (EVN). Besides these 8 capabilities, the program is further supported by program-level work streams: Program Management, Change Architecture, Solution Architecture, Technical Architecture and Transition Architecture. The solution enhances customer service, compliance, reduces compliance costs, long-term cost effectiveness, and staff competence. Roles/Responsibilities: - Role in Release 1 • As a developer, to design and develop payments and refunds components in the build phase. • As a fixer to fix components that are either developed by her or other team members in the testing phase. • Andrea coached and guided team members on technical skills and functional areas of refund modules. She worked on samples and demos for illustrations of concepts of technologies that will greatly help fellow teammates in understanding and moving forward. • Ensured that the user requirements are well specified and control the change requests so that the estimates are accurate to deliver quality work. - Role in Release 2 • Assigned the role as the CMTA On-shore Lead Developer. • Executed detail design activities based on functional requirements or use case of work units assigned. • Built and component tested units assigned based on the completed detailed design documentation. • Executed unit testing and re-test components built by off shore developers • Ensured the quality of work done by the off shore and that work gets done in a timely fashion. • Assisted in Change Request design and build efforts • Led other .NET developers to build .NET components and ensure knowledge transfer of best practice for architecture and standards to these developers. The solution is web based and consists of various complex batches that involve file processing. Cognos is used for reporting. The workflow is developed using C# and MS SQL as the DB. Other technologies sued are ASP .NET, Java Script, and Microsoft Win 2003.

B2B e-trading (Dec 2000 – Mar 2001) Project: The solution is a Business-to-Business e-trading platform that plugs businesses into the global marketplace. It has both buyers and sellers of different sizes and industries trading within one centralized cyber-hub to facilitate businesses. It also offers end-to-end e-services, continuous infrastructure enhancement, joint marketing and promotional activities for participating companies. Roles/Responsibilities: • Drive design and implementation of e-commerce application • Development of online and client-server based applications • Coordinate deployment and customization of new sites • Support customers and manage change request • Responsible for the major version upgrading Technical Solution: This is a web based trading application with secure transactions handling. Business logics are embedded into the COM+ and the interfaces are developed using ASP. The application provides modules for user registrations and is able to configure the pluggable modules which are required and specified by different users who are registered. Other technologies applied included Visual Basic 6, VB Script, Java Script, Microsoft SQL 7, Microsoft Site Server Commerce Edition 3.0, Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0, Microsoft Win 2K Advance Server, and Microsoft SQL 2000. Factoring Company (Jan 2001 – Feb 2002) This application provides the means for customers of factoring company to trade via the e-trading platform and submit the invoiced amounts for factoring. The application sends payment information to the factoring plug-in application that submits the factoring documents to the backend system. The team comprises of 5 members and Andrea was the main technical person involved with the modifications required. Roles/Responsibilities: • Leading the project and providing consultancy to customers • Requirement gathering and preparing project specifications • Development of online and client-server based applications • Coordinate deployment and customization of new sites • Support customers and manage change request • Provides technical support during the testing phase • Documentation of test plans and test result • Setup and deploy solutions for both the testing and production environment • Design and develop the plug-in factoring modules in to an existing e-commerce application Technical Solution: For the e-trading platform, the debit/credit notes module was developed using COM+ and ASP front end. The customization includes integration with the factoring plug-in which was built for the customers to handle factoring documents submission. The plug-in includes modules for registration, creating factoring relationship and monitoring of the documents. Jobs are scheduled to submit the collated information of the documents to the backend system maintained by the customer. Response to the submission will be reflected both in the plug-in and the e-trading platform. Other technologies Andrea applied included Visual Basic 6, VB Script, Java Script, Microsoft SQL 7, Microsoft Site Server Commerce Edition 3.0, Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0, Microsoft Win 2K Advance Server, and Microsoft SQL 2000. Stationery Supplier (Oct 2001 – April 2002) This application offers a web-based stationery procurement platform. It allows the customers of the client to raise purchase orders via this trading hub. The target customers are the various hospitals Singapore. To facilitate the procurement process of the hospitals, workflow management is incorporated into this application. Roles/Responsibilities: • Provides consultancy to customers • Requirement gathering and preparing project specifications • Redesign and implementation of document workflow • Development of online and client-server based applications • Coordinate deployment and customization of new sites • Support customers and manage change request • Testing and deployment of the application • Provides training and customers support Technical Solution: The COM+ was redesigned to suit the specific workflow of the procurement process in the hospitals. The routing of documents includes email notification and approval actions. Product pricing modules was built to enable different pricing to be reflected based on the login of the buyers. Each buyer will be registered under his own organization and sellers will state the fixed or promotional prices for the buyer organizations. Web based reports are provided for easy retrieval by novice users of web based applications. Other technologies applied included Visual Basic 6, ASP, VB Script, Java Script, Microsoft SQL 7, Microsoft Site Server Commerce Edition 3.0, Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0, Microsoft Win 2K Advance Server, and Microsoft SQL 2000 Health Products Distributor (Taiwan) (Feb 2002 – Nov 2002) The client is a professional e-Health B2B and B2C solution company. Its main role is distributing and supplying medical equipments to the various hospitals in Taiwan. The project changes the entire logic behind the current product we offered. In-depth study of the current application is conducted and changes were designed to provide the required functionality. Roles/Responsibilities: • Project lead and provided consultancy to customers • Requirement gathering and project specifications for the purchase request modules • Drive design and implementation of the new requirements • Changed UI display due to the Chinese platform • Supported customers and managed change request • Migration and deployment of the new modules • Designed and developed the Return Management module in the second phase of the project Technical Solution: Design and develop the purchase request module to replace the exiting shopping cart so that multiple purchases can be pre-created. This is buyer centric therefore new modules are developed to allow buyer to create their product catalogs and allow supplier to link the products to create their relationship. The second phase of the changes will include a Return Management module. IVR Applications (Jan 2000 – Oct 2000) These are computer telephony applications that are developed for external parties (customers). They include functions like auto attendant call transfer, voice mails, fax request or account activation. Roles/Responsibilities: • Design, develop and maintain the applications • Test and ensure correct deployment of the system • Provide support when the system fails due to software fault Technical Solution: The dialogic board is the main hardware used in the IVRs where calls are picked up and the application is used to process the called based on the menu options keyed in by the users. Visual Basic is used to build the call handling processes. Core technologies used are Visual Basic 5 and 6, Visual Voice Pro 5, Dialogic, and Access DB. Total Feedback System (June 1988 – Dec 1999) This is an 18 month project as part of a business process improvement initiative, used internally to monitor the telephone line installer and the jobs to be done. It includes screen emulation to retrieve orders from the mainframe and management of the orders by assigning responsibility codes. The automated alerting will be sent via paging through the paging gateway and job reporting through IVR. The IVR functions include phone line checking, time reporting and problem reporting. An interface is developed for both internal staff and external contract contractors to access via VPN. Roles/Responsibilities: • Involved in the proposal phase when it was first presented • Did the feasibility study on all the requirements and provided consultancy • Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the applications • Planned and participated in the testing of the entire solution • Provided training on the client UI and also on the IVR for the contractors • Provided training to the management on the reporting services • Deployment of the IVRs and installation of the client software. • Deployment of the UI at the external sites and ensures the connectivity via VPN is stable Technical Solution: The entire solution encompasses integration to mainframe and external parties. It allows data entry via the IVR for off site contractors, UI entry via VPN by the contractor, and the client software used by in-house employees. The information is gathered via screen scripting from the mainframe 3 days prior the appointment. The information will then be available for the IVR, client software and the reporting modules. The IVR is used to allow time reporting to be done by off-site workers effortlessly and without any human intervention. Jobs will be assigned to the individual contractors by the clerk via VPN. Contractors who failed to be logged on the time when the appointment is due will get alerts automatically. Reports will be generated for the management to monitor the performance of the contractors. Core technologies used are Delphi 3, Parity Voice Bocx 5.3 and Interbase. Census 2000 Call Center Application (Oct 1999 – Feb 2000) This is a partnering project to handle the statistic gathering. The call center operators use the application. It is for entry of data given by the surveyed. Roles/Responsibilities: • Responsible for development of modules for setting the availability of the operators • Participated in the testing of the call master and Devox Technical Solution: The solution includes PABX and the call masters to handle the call routing. The routing rules are built-in the PABX. The client applications are mainly used for data entry by the operators and all of the information gathered will be consolidated with the information submitted via mail and internet.
